Books are a lot of fun. This year's annual book fair runs from August 25 through August 29 and is being held in the media center. Every year there is a great selection of books for all ages. The children will have a chance to browse and create a "wish list" to take home. You can either send your child in with the money or parents can come in a browse with their child. Profits from the book fair will be used to purchase needed things for the children and teachers of our school.
Grandparents Sponsorship Program: Grandparents can purchase a "Seed" for $10, a watering can for $15 and an orange for $25. With their purchase they will receive a PTA membership and be listed on the OGE Grandparents "Growing Wall of Fame!" We will also sponsor a Grandparents Day at the school and invite all grandparents to come visit our campus. (The money raised from this program will help purchase reading materials for every class)
Sticker Machine: You will see a sticker vending machine in the cafeteria. It will have stickers for sale for $0.50 each and one of the sticker options will include a custom OGE sticker! (Money raised from this machine will help fund a school wide Family Partnership Program)
Stuff the bus campaign benefits students in need. There is an estimated 11% of families in Pinellas County at the poverty level, more than 2,000 homeless children, and 52% of students participating in the free or reduced lunch program.
