Do their hair, dress them their favorite clothes and hope they don't spill anything on them at lunch. August 25th is school picture day!
Retakes will be available on November 18th. Stay tuned for information about yearbooks.
Dear Orange Grove Families,
It is with much excitement that we welcome everyone back to the 2017-18 school year. We are anxious to meet our new kindergarten families and look forward to continuing the relationships with our returning families. Our top priority at Orange Grove is 100% student success. We expect learning gains from every student. This will take each and every one of us working together for our children. Our 2017-18 theme is “Do the Impossible!” A quote by Tommy Lasorda says, “The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person’s determination.” Let’s encourage our kids to take risks, to persevere, and to do the impossible!
Feel free to stop by or call me anytime. Your input is truly valued. Read a great book with your child and have a great Orange Grove Day!
From the heart,
Christine Porter, Ed.D, Principal
and the Orange Grove Elementary Staff
Orange Grove Elementary has a "Meet the Teacher" on August 9th at 9am. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to come meet the teachers, administrators, and the PTA officers. The teachers will give a detailed explanation about your child's educational program, classroom supply needs, and the various activities that they will be doing.
The PTA officers will present information on their upcoming fundraising efforts that will allow them to donate educational materials, equipment, and inceptive for students. Orange Grove promotes a partnership between school and home encouraging parents to be a part of the school community.
This will be an exciting year for your child and we look forward to seeing the parents there.
