Last Friday, we were able to celebrate Grandparents Day! It was postponed sue to Hurricane Irma and what an amazing event it turned out to be. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and adopted grandparents filled the cafeteria and picnic areas. The children laughed and enjoyed their time while eating lunch.
Grandparents Day is a day for celebrating the connections between the generations. It is to honor grandparents, to give grandparents an opportunity to show love for their children's children, and to help children become aware of the strength, information and guidance older people can offer. Thank you for the committee for organizing the event, the volunteers who came to help, and the grandparents that visited from the local nursing home. They gave their time to be with the children who may not have had a grandparent there. You can check out some of the pictures from that day on the home page. Comments are closed.
