Help Make A Difference ...Volunteer

When do I have time to volunteer, you ask yourself. I am too busy being a parent! Volunteering is important for all of us. Volunteering at your child's school may be one of the most important, life-altering things you can ever do for your child.   Why you ask? Because it sends a very clear message to them (and other students for that matter) that you're devoting your most precious commodity - yourself - to something that's important to their education.  It shows them that you support them and their teachers and lets them know that what they do matters to you.

The number one reason people don't volunteer is because no one asked them. Well, we are asking for you to be involved! Your time and knowledge is needed and wanted by our staff and students. The diversity of our community and the experiences you can share with our students is valuable to us. Whether its a little time or a lot of time on campus or at home, mom, dad or grandparent.

Volunteers are essential to the success of our school and the programs that are provided. Please consider volunteering in the classroom and through the PTA. If you are already volunteering, thank you! We wouldn't be able to do the things we do for our school without your help.

Volunteer Guidelines

All volunteers must fill out a Pinellas County Public Schools volunteer application and return it to the school for approval before allowed to volunteer.

When you're volunteering in school:
  • Report to the office, sign in at the front desk. Do not forget your driver's license. You will receive a Volunteer ID Badge and it must be on at all times.
  • When finished with volunteering, return to the office and sign out giving the office your badge.
  • Follow school rules, referring to the Pinellas County Parent-Student Handbook.
  • Attend any orientation and training, if offered.
  • Notify appropriate person if unable to fulfill scheduled volunteer time.
  • Maintain confidentially. Information regarding a student should never be discussed outside the school.
