Help Make A Difference ...Volunteer
When do I have time to volunteer, you ask yourself. I am too busy being a parent! Volunteering is important for all of us. Volunteering at your child's school may be one of the most important, life-altering things you can ever do for your child. Why you ask? Because it sends a very clear message to them (and other students for that matter) that you're devoting your most precious commodity - yourself - to something that's important to their education. It shows them that you support them and their teachers and lets them know that what they do matters to you.
The number one reason people don't volunteer is because no one asked them. Well, we are asking for you to be involved! Your time and knowledge is needed and wanted by our staff and students. The diversity of our community and the experiences you can share with our students is valuable to us. Whether its a little time or a lot of time on campus or at home mom, dad or grandparent.
Volunteers are essential to the success of our school and the programs that are provided. Please consider volunteering in the classroom and through the PTA. If you are already volunteering, thank you! We wouldn't be able to do the things we do for our school without your help.
VOLUNTEER - We need you your help! Click to fill out the Pinellas County Volunteer form and return with a photo I.D This is for the safety of all students and staff. These forms cab be found here or in the front office.
Log your volunteer hours here. If you need help with your log in and password please see the front office.
There are many volunteer opportunities with the PTA. Whether you have just a few hours a year or a month we can find a perfect fit for you. There are many programs that are always in need of volunteers. below are a few of these programs they range a one time commitment to an entire year:
Book Fair Carnival
Yearbook Holiday Shop
Teacher Appreciation Toys for Joy
You can find a list of opportunities and descriptions here.
Beyond PTA volunteer work there are other opportunities to volunteer at the school. The school system is always in need of Level II volunteers. These volunteers have filled out the registration form and have had their fingerprints processed. This enables the parent to help with driving children to a filed trip or various events that there might be a need for this level of volunteering. You can find more information here.
